We've made great progress in empowering adult learners. One thing that prevents us from supporting more: we have no capacity to grow.
Literacy Network has outgrown our physical location. We hope to move to a larger facility in 2013. To help us make a move in the next year, we were issued a challenge to raise $8,000 before December 31, which we exceeeded! Thanks to all of our generous donors.
Our needs are still great. With a larger location, we will be better able to address the growing needs of adults and families in Dane County to improve their future.
Our programs are defined by strong partnerships with the United Way of Dane County, Madison College, Edgewood College, four area school districts, St. Mary's Hospital, GHC, UW Health, Urban League, Boys and Girls Club, Dane County Parent Council, the Goodman Community Center, the Lussier Community Education Center, Centro Hispano, the Latino Academy of Workforce Development and many others.
By building good partnerships and working with more than 500 volunteers each year, we maximize the capacity and efficiency of our programs. We have grown in many positive ways this year, and we want to continue serving the growing needs in our community.
Please consider a gift of significance at some level that will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
