Spreading the love God gives me with those across the world! This will be a trip over spring break led by Alamo Community Church!

Missions have always been on my heart. I help out with several organizations here in San Antonio and have had the time of my life doing so. However, overseas is where I feel I belong. God has always placed Africa on my heart but until I get an oppurtunity to go I felt like this trip with my church would be a great way to start!

The Lord calls us in Matthew 25 to help the least of these. He commands us that when people are hungry and and sick we should help, because when we help them we are helping him.

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." 37Then the righteous will answer him, saying, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?" 40And the King will answer them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." Matthew 25:35-39

Vietnam is a poor country. We will be visiting a school and building two dorms for children who stay at the school for the week and then walk back home for the weekends. Right now they have 2-3 children to a bed and we are hoping to expand their living situations and make it more fesable. We will also be teaching the children english and a few sport games. Our goal as a church is to stay connected with this village over the years. This will be the 3rd trip our church has made and we are planning at least 3 trips a year from now on. I appreicate prayers for our commitment to Vietnam and the lovely people that live there.

This trip is call by Alamo Community our "AND Initiative" to reference where Jesus said the greatest commandment was to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; AND, Love your neighbor as yourself.” I want to love Vietnam as my neighbor and you can help!

All I hope to do in life is live out my calling. I believe that calling is missions and this trip to Vietnam will help me better understand how to prepare for future missions. I would be honered if you would simply help fund my trip. Even if it is just $10 because this money will be used in Vietnam to help the least of these.

I will be bloging about the trip and taking lots of pictures. You can see these on facebook or the below links in March! Thank you so much for your donation and prayers!
