Team XSP is putting our minds over matter. We are all going to challenge ourselves to 70.3 miles to help fight lung cancer. Our mileage will be minimal to the fight those have with this horrible disease. XSP's fight wants to encourage others to get involved and help those with lung cancer. We are fighting for our friend Rob Morris- he is an inspiration to not only us, but to his wonderful family. Please help us, help him breath, believe and battle on May 11, 2013.
The XSP team is:
Karen Brown, Danica Turner, Katy Brown, Sam Croce and Erin Donnelly. We are all excited to help Rob, his family and the cause!
More about the Morris Family:
Robb Morris was an athlete growing up, and an All-American swimmer in college. After college, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Kerry, and they started a family in West Palm Beach, Florida. Robb's career moved him around for several years, but Robb and Kerry grew roots in the Atlanta area because they love the climate, area, people, and were blessed with a daughter there in 1999 named Kaylee. During Robb's 25 year sales career, he rarely visited the doctor except for annual check-ups, and worked out regularly. In 2010, he was blindsided when he was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer. This came as a shock because he had never been a smoker, and lived a very healthy lifestyle.
Since his diagnosis, he has fought cancer like no other... He has endured surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy and various experimental drugs that have allowed him to beat the odds. He continues to fight the disease with the support and motivation of his wife and daughter, and is determined to win!
