On March 10th, 2012, a group of dedicated skiers and snowoarders who support outdoor education for kids will pledge to cover no less than 10,000 vertical feet each at Loveland Ski Area, as measured by personal GPS-based tracking devices. They'll be doing so to promote healthy, active, outdoor lifestyles while also fund raising for GOALS (Get Outside And Learn Something), a Colorado charity that gives kids a unique chance to experience the great outdoors through multi-day wilderness rafting trips.
This is the second year of the fun and innovative "Get Up & Get Down to Get Kids Out" Vertical Challenge event. During its' first year in 2011, participants generated nearly $20,000 in pledges. This year, GOALS hopes to double that amount, surpassing $40,000 in pledges. They're doing so in an effort to keep up with the increased demand for GOALS programs - there are already more than twice the number of multi-day wilderness river trips for kids between 4th and 12th grade scheduled to go out in 2012 than there were in 2011!
Please help GOALS and the skiers/snowboarders participating by making a tax-deductible donation in support of one of our Vertical Challenge team members. Every dollar counts, and allows us to potentially change the life of a child. Thanks in advance for your support!
