Row Boston is a program for girls and boys from Boston Public Schools ages 12-18. At Row Boston, we work to create what we call a "high challenge, high support" environment. Through rowing, we present each child with challenges that will ask them to push themselves farther than they may ever have before. Through positive relationships they form with their teammates and coaches, we provide the boys and girls with a safe and supportive environment where they feel comfortable, and even confident, taking on these new challenges. Our goal is that through this process, we are able to teach each of these young adults to be more accountable for their actions, to express themselves openly and positively, to give their best effort no matter the vircumstance, and to be a powerful and effective leader.
Our hope is that every boy and girl who comes through our program learns skills that will enable them to create a more positive future for themselves. Part of that mission is to have every individual who goes though Row Boston graduate from high school and attend college. Though our academic support program, we strive to provide the girls and boys with the resources they need to be the most successful students they can be.
