"Missions Team 2013 - Thailand" a team to help missionaries and their families in Asia

The mission is to do our part to fulfill the Great Commission, in which Jesus charges us to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:18-20). “All nations” refer not to the governments of various political entities, but all people groups. This is a huge job for which there is always a shortage of people to work on it. As Jesus also says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” (Matt. 9:37-38) Will you commit to being one of these few workers?

Our denomination, the Evangelical Free Church of America, is committed to reaching these people groups throughout the globe through its mission arm, ReachGlobal . ReachGlobal stations missionaries in countries such as Mongolia, China, India, Thailand, Vietnam and other nations of SE Asia. Asia is a spiritually dark place with a huge population but only a small proportion of evangelical Christians.

The immediate application of this larger mission for Del Rey Church is a ministry to the ReachGlobal missionaries in Asia by taking care of their children. Every two years, ReachGlobal Asia holds a mandatory conference for its missionaries. While 200 adults are in conference sessions, we will provide childcare and youth programs for approximately 60 children. We want to enrich them in knowledge, in spirit, and in fellowship, giving them an opportunity to reconnect with each other, since many of them have little interaction with other Americans their age.
