Providing matching funds is a proven way to encourage people to raise contributions. Matching funds make a parent's or school's fundraising goal doable, for it cuts in half the amount a person needs to raise.
By your gift, you are helping to inspire others to reach out to their neighbors and friends to help a school teach kids alternatives to violence.
