The earthquake that struck Haiti in January 2010 brought the world's attention to the people of Haiti and the immense needs there. International Child Care has been working in Haiti since the 1960's, and the Dominican Republic since the 1980's, so we were uniquely positioned to respond to the disaster, as well as continue offering health care services to those in need. Our goal is health and wholeness for children and their families, and ICC has the reputation, experience and resources to achieve that goal. With the help of generous supporters, and through events like Race for Grace, ICC continues to offer world-class health care for children, including rehabilitation and school inclusion programs in the Dominican Republic, and a variety of programs in Haiti including in-patient care for children at Grace Children's Hospital, ICC's flagship facility. The hospital also offers outpatient care for children and adults, an eye clinic with surgical services, and innovative urban community health programs.
