Every day CASA volunteers, people just like you, speak up for children who’ve been removed from their homes because the people responsible for protecting them have not. With the help of 562 dedicated volunteers, CASA was able to advocate for 1,412 children last year - 81% of the children in care of Child Protective Services in Austin.
It’s a tough job, and while CASA volunteers come from every walk of life, we know that not everyone has the time or feels the calling to be a CASA volunteer. But we can all speak up and change children’s lives.
For children who’ve been abused or neglected, CASA means having a home instead of feeling lost, and being a priority instead of feeling invisible. Whether or not you can volunteer, you can be a part of CASA. You can give children safe loving homes, keep them in touch with their family, make sure they go to school and graduate, and help them to heal and grow.
