Not only did you shepherd these events through a difficult economic year, but you also managed to significantly grow and improve these events. . . ." Mayor Chris Coleman. . I want to thank all of you for your hard work and support that has kept this festival alive. The Twin Cities Jazz Festival is vibrant part of the community offering three days of free jazz in a beautiful downtown urban setting. Over the past eleven years many national acts such as Esperanza Spalding, Allen Toussaint, Ravi Coltrane, Kenny Garrett and Return to Forever have performed at our festival as well as local musicians such as Irv Williams, Connie Evingson, Moore by Four, Atlantis Quartet and Fat Kid Wednesdays. Over 100 youth perform at this festival from organizations such as Walker West Music Academy, MITY and McNally Smith. .
