Zac Emanuel's Charitable Basketball Tournament Sponsored by His Family

Israel has been under fire (literally) by surrounding Arab nations and from extremist Arabs within. If we can teach the children of both sides that they can work together, then when those kids grow up, perhaps they won't tell their kids to hate the other group and they will have peace. As Golda Meir said "We will have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us." That works for both sides.

Israel is not the only area where cultural hatred exists. PeacePlayers International works in Israel, South Africa, Cyprus, Ireland and in other areas promoting peace through basketball. After playing basketball with the people their parents tell them to hate and shouldn't be friends with, they realize they can be friends.

It is this effort - to educate and get rid of hatred through basketball - that lead me to choose it as my Mitzvah project. Your donations will help bring these kids together to show them that fighting is not the answer. Your donations will help bring peace to these areas, perhaps now, and definitely in the future, when the kids that have experienced PeacePlayers International teach their kids.
