We have just begun a year-long fellowship in Cameroon with the Youth Advocacy Network (YAN), a small non-profit organization whose mission is to empower local youth through media and technology education. Over the last few weeks, we have succeeded in expanding YAN's programs to two new government high schools—this means we will be working with 75-100 students starting next week (more than triple the number from past years)! Our classes focus on building leadership skills and developing media and social networking tools so that each student can research and advocate for an issue relevant to their community.
As a young organization, YAN does not yet have the funds to cover all of the costs the fellowship entails. We currently receive a housing and living stipend (comparable to the Peace Corps). However, YAN asks that fellows fundraise to cover the airfare and visa fees for the year. This is where you come in! Please consider making a donation today—your contribution will support Cameroonian youth by making the 2012-2013 fellowship program possible.

Thank you for your support!

YAN is a not for profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. As such, your donation today is tax-deductible.
