Your donations will pay for students to participate in SideWalk Writes the Future programming in Mitchell Elementary.

Last year, students that participated in SideWalk Writes the Future programming scored 60% higher on national testing than their peers who did not.

We're driven by the idea that we shouldn't be able to predict students' test scores by their zip code.

Each week, we take trained tutors into elementary and middle schools to work with students on creative and expository writing. We write silly stories, and one act plays. We help students discover their voice, and realize that voice is worth being heard. We pass out high-fives.

We truly believe that today's silly stories become tomorrow's college entrance exams.

    My little sister was visited by this program in her Arts Management class and thought it was a great cause! She already had prior obligations but told me what a great program this was so I decided to help out as little as I could. Good luck and keep up the great community work!
