Helping to build an affordable home for a local mother and her three kids!

In 2006 I traveled to Arkansas for an alternative break trip with Villanova University. We worked on two Habitat homes in the town of Fort Smith. We built homes and friendships. I caught Habititis and soon traveled to work on Habitat homes in the Gulf Coast with Villanova Business School.

In 2007, upon graduating from Villanova, I began a year of volunteer service. I was placed at Habitat through the Johnson Intern Program. After my time of service, I joined the Habitat staff!

This is our local Habitat's first Women Build in several years. Women Build connects women who want to learn construction skills and make a difference by building homes and communities. We expect to break ground on the home in early Spring!
