Going to high school is the best chance a Kenyan girl has to break the cycle of poverty and empower herself to do great things in this world
Eliza is a 13 year old girl from Bungoma, Kenya who desperately wishes to go to high school. She was raised by her grandmother, but is now in the care well-wishers from her community since her grandmother passed away last year.
This bright, young girl has overcome unimaginable hardship in life and has managed to get accepted into one of Kenya's elite high schools. However, Eliza's dream of attending school is threatened by her inability to pay school fees. Eliza writes:
"I promise to work hard and get a grade that will secure me a place in an institution of higer learning. I would like to be a lawyer to defend the rights of the marginalized in society."
Together we can help transform Eliza's dream into reality. It only takes $2400 to send this girl to 4 years of boarding school in Kenya. Any amount you can spare will have a profound effect on her future.
Education is the ONLY way to break the cycle of dependency and poverty in Africa. Thank you so much for helping Eliza!
