Help provide powdered milk to the 130 babies in the Albergue flood relief facility in Tipitapa, Nicaragua.
For the past 7 months we have been working with the flood victims in Tipitapa that lost everything. Many of you remember our pleas for help in 2010 for the victims of the torrential rains that displaced more than 7,000 people in Tipitapa alone. Currently, more than 1,200 of those individuals are still homeless and living in a large manufacturing facility. CLICK HERE to read one of the blog entries to learn more about these families and where they are living.
More than 700 of the Tipitapa individuals are children less than 16 years old. After helping to start a school on-site for the primary students we have been working to provide as much on-going support as possible, especially for the children and single mother households. It is a large challenge due to the size and complexity of the problem, but thanks to God and your support we have been able to continue bringing food, milk, cleaning supplies, clothes, school supplies, and other necessities for the people as funds are available.
That said, there are still many needs!!
Right now there is a very large need for powdered milk for the 130 children between 0-3 years in the facility. Their families cannot afford the milk they need and many young babies are underweight and others are fighting to survive.
We have the supplier relationship for a reduced cost of $15 per month per child!! That’s right, you can purchase all the milk a baby will need for a month for just $15! All we need now is your help!
Will you help us with $15 today so a baby can have food for a month?
