The cabaret will feature performances by pianist Erika Schroth, actor Jackie Sidle, internationally acclaimed conductor Jeffrey Douma, and guitarist and songwriter Lamont Hiebert, among others. Food will be provided by the acclaimed Caseus Fromagerie Bistro, named “New Haven’s most exciting new restaurant in a decade” by the Fearless Critic, and by Park Central Tavern of Hamden, which will offer a sampling of items from their innovative new menu. For dessert, event planner and design professional Anne Powers of A Party Style will lend her talent for sweets that are as wonderful to look at as they are to eat. To complement the gourmet menu, Cork & Barrel of Hamden and Eder Brothers, Inc. will supply a selection of fine wines.

Before the performance, a silent auction will be held, offering the opportunity to obtain quality goods and services while supporting a charitable cause. Some of the items on auction will include gift certificates to local restaurants and retail shops, including Taste, Caseus, Park Central Tavern, and Evan’s Toy Shoppe; family passes to the Eli Whitney and Peabody Museums; packages from Posh, Joiya, and Estetique day spas; tickets to events at Yale Athletics and Choate Rosemary Hall; and paintings by area artists Chris Mir, Karen Dow, and Jason Noushin.

“Winter’s Night in Spring Glen” is open to the community, for those 21 and over. Tickets are $35 per person. Proceeds support children’s programs at Spring Glen Elementary School. With top-notch performers and a menu from some of the area’s finest purveyors of gourmet fare, this charity event is an elegant evening out at an affordable price.
