COMMON HOPE...Since 1986, Common Hope has promoted hope and opportunity in Guatemala by covering the costs of education to affiliated children. Because a child's success in school depends on his or her family's health, safety, and stability, support is also provided to affiliated families through health care, housing, and family development programs.

OUR TEAM...eight members of our church which includes our daughters, Lydia and Cabrini, and me will be in Guatemala the third week of November. Tom and Gavan went on this same trip with a separate Team in 2010. It helps fulfill our passion for helping those that are less fortunate as we expose ourselves to life beyond ‘Suburbia USA’.

WHILE IN GUATEMALA...Our Vision Team will support Common Hope's vision of improving the lives of Guatemalan families through education, health care, and housing. Specific activities will include building a home, working in classrooms with students and teachers, and accompanying a social worker on a home visit.

DONATIONS... All tax-deductible donations go directly towards Common Hope's programs and services for helping the people in Guatemala. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $2,000 for this cause. We will personally cover our own cost of the trip in addition to our support of Common Hope’s efforts.
