Wilder Foundation Back to School Campaign

For most children, the first day of school means an awesome new backpack filled with everything on the school supply list. But sending a child to school can be expensive. The full retail price to purchase a backpack and all required school supplies for one child can cost as much as $60.00 to $70.00.The average annual income of the families served by Wilder is $12,000. For these families, meeting even basic needs is a challenge. Adding the cost of school supplies to an already strained budget is, often times, simply too much.

Help a child begin the school year ready to learn and to succeed.

While our biggest need for school supplies occurs in August, we also accept and use donations of school supplies and backpacks all year-round. You can help in several ways. Make a financial donation to help us purchase backpacks and supplies or host a drive and collect new school supplies and backpacks. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.
