Isn't it thrilling to imagine that right in this moment there is a living tiger crouching somewhere deep in Sumatran jungle — thanks to you?!
The idea is to make an alarm clock app featuring adorable baby Tiger, who lives in the jungle inside your iPhone and wakes you up with a roar. And to make him shut up you have to pet him =) You even can play with him to some extent, but our Tiger behaves like a wild tiger, not a stupid toy.
There will be other endangered species populating the app jungle: a toucan, frog, elephant and more to come! You could interact with them in different ways. For example: if you wish to see a vampire bat, press your thumb against the screen and the bat will fly to you attracted by the blood smell =)
The jungle will constantly changing along with a lighting and skies. At different times of day and night different animals appear. Sorry for too much details, we just want you to feel some of the magic we tried to put in.
The app will be free and users will be able to save tigers in two ways: making a donation and spreading the word via Facebook or Twitter. 70% of revenue we are going to transfer to WWF(World Wildlife Fund) and 30% will be used to continue development of this project. We have a great plans to expand it, adding other natural habitats with their species:
Ocean with whales, giant turtles and rare fishes,
North Pole with penguins and seals,
Etc.
Yes, people could donate money directly to WWF and that is great, but with this app we aspireto attract and engage much wider audience — all those people who waste money on virtual animals and other bunches of pixels in social games.
Why waste money on virtual pets if you can have a living tiger!
We are two independent developers from Ukraine and we started to do this project at our own expense. In project like this you have to pay for third-party services: 3-D modeling, rendering, animation, background artwork, sound, etc. We already invested everything we could ($5.400 to be precise), that exceeds our two-month salary combined.
For this moment we have done 90% of the app and hope to finally finish it with your help.
Besides a real tiger, that owes his life to you, I can say you may feel so good like never before. We have done some tree-saving project for WWF before and now, working on this app, I can expressly and affirmatively say there is some magic in those endeavors for good cause! No wonder people getting hooked.
Tweet it, post it, share it! And thanks A LOT for your efforts because if a butterfly's wings might create a storm, imagine what people can do!
