WDG Architecture + Interiors fundraising for Capital Area Food Bank
To Bean or Not To Bean
WDG is excited to participate in the annual DC Canstruction, which uses can food as a catalyst for change. At the end of the competition, the cans are given to the Capital Area Food Bank for distribution to those in need. To date, Canstruction has donated more than 250 tons of food.
Since there is often a lack of vegetables at many food banks, we wanted to ensure that our Canstruction addressed that need. “To Bean Or Not To Bean” is composed of canned sweet peas and tomato sauce, two elements of a healthy diet. Hopefully from the picture, you get it… Chicago’s Cloud Gate Sculpture, known as the Bean, recreated using cans of... well, the cans of peas looked better than the beans.
The team with the most "votes" wins the People's Choice Award. One dollar = one vote. Support WDG by donating here. Voting ends 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8th.
