Wanda Aldridge's Half Marithon for "Team Brooks"
Wanda Aldridge fundraising for RALLY FOUNDATION FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER RESEARCH
At age 70 I'm running my first half marathon to raise money to support Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research on Team Brooks.
At age 70 years and 10 months on race day, I'm inspired to run my first half marathon in support of Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research because of four children that I have personally known that have been diagnosed with cancer--two are relatives. I am running on "Team Brooks" in honor of Brooks House, diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma at age 6; Jim Aldridge, diagnosed with brain cancer at age 7 and still in treatment at age 13; Abram Gainous. diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age 2; and in honor of Jim's older sister, Lauren Aldridge, diagnosed with brain cancer at age 7 and died at age 9.
