Wadena Area Tree Replant Project
A project of Initiative Foundation
The Wadena Area Replant Project was created to help those who lost their trees in the June 17th tornado.
The Wadena Area Replant Project was created by a group of citizens, business owners and the Wadena Soil and Water Conservation District to help those in the Wadena area and surrounding communities who lost their trees in the June 17th, 2010 tornado.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 to replant the estimated 10,000 trees that were lost in the Wadena area. If we can get 10,000 people to donate just $10 each, we could change the landscape of this community for generations to come.
Your donation of $10 will buy one 5 foot shade tree. Up that donation to $25 and you will buy a 5 foot evergreen tree! Your generous donation will help restore this community to its former beauty and have everyone in Wadena breathing a little easier.
Our plans are to begin replanting trees in the spring of 2011. To learn more about our project and to volunteer, please visit our website: www.treesforwadena.com.
Please consider donating in order to help make our area beautiful and green again!
