Memory Project at Vanguard High School
A project of My Class Cares
19 art students at VHS are creating portraits for children at an orphanage in Vietnam and would love your support to get them to the kids.
Students at Vanguard High School are currently participating in the Memory Project (memoryproject.org), a nonprofit art program in which students create portraits for children who have been neglected, orphaned, or otherwise disadvantaged.
Given that children in such situations tend to have few personal keepsakes, the portraits aim to provide them with special memories that represent a slice of their own life story.
Our VHS art students have been matched with 19 children at an orphanage in Vietnam, and the portraits will soon be due for delivery to them. The Memory Project asks us to send a contribution of $15 along with every portrait in order to help cover all of their costs in coordinating the project and delivering the portraits to the children in Vietnam. We would greatly appreciate your support in raising these funds!
