Contributions provide grants to provide economic and housing assistance, blight prevention and to enhance the vitality of the community.
The Vadnais Heights Area Community Fund, a Fund of the Saint Paul Foundation has a mission to strengthen our community through private giving. Our vision is to grow the Vadnais Heights Area Community Fund to provide grants and loans to facilitate improved economic conditions, provide housing alternatives, prevent community blight and deterioration, and enhance the spirit and vitality of the greater community which encompasses the 624 and 621 school districts.
The Vadnais Heights Area Community Fund has annually issued grants of approximately $10,000 since 1990 for various purposes such as:
• Community service projects funding
• Playground equipment for local schools and parks
• Local transit funding
• Educational grants to local schools
• Funding for the Vadnais Heights Development Corporation (VHEDC)
• Purchased defibrillators for local public safety providers
• Funding for Vadnais Heights Heritage Days
• Assist with high school baseball field improvements
• Assist local scouting programs
• Assist with local tornado clean-up efforts
• Assist Community Food Program
• Funding for local libraries
• Funded college scholarships at local high schools
• Funded teacher enrichment training
• Assisted with public art projects
