We are working with In His Steps Ministries in Canton, Mississippi for the fourth year! In the past three years we have worked on a variety of projects such as painting, small remodeling/construction projects, after-school tutoring and homework help, clean-up projects, and community building. Mississippi is the poorest state in the country and has the lowest education rate. Due to these facts, it is comparable in some areas to third world countries. Our goal is to establish the feeling of potential for the people of Mississippi to realize that they are capable of more than they are told by including them in helping us or just talking to the people and establishing relationships.

This will be my 2nd missions trip, 1st as a leader and i'm really excited for spring break this year and what God plans to do in me and through me while reaching out to these broken communities in Canton, Mississippi.
