United Way Alternative Spring Break 2010 in Biloxi, MS

As part of a team of young people from across the county, I will be assisting South Mississippi's recovery from Hurricane Katrina and helping to address basic community needs that existed before Katrina ever touched the Gulf Coast. I have been selected to participate during the week of March 28-April 3, 2010 in Biloxi, MS. There is an array of costs associated with my volunteer service including meals, housing, transportation, special supplies, tools, books, and insurance. Although it has been years since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, there is still much help needed in the areas devastated. This trip is very important to me and I would like to do as much as I can do to help, however I need help raising the money needed for this experience. There is a program fee of $150 and I will also need to raise as much as I can for transportation. If anything extra is raised I will donate it all to charity. Any amount will help whether it's $10 or $100! My birthday falls during this trip, which gives me even more of a reason to make this experience something I will never forget. Please help me make this opportunity possible, any little bit will help!
