UBT's flagship initiative, Project Muso, transforms crises of poverty and disease through health care, microenterprise, and education.

It is challenging to be a mother in Mali. Although Malian women are viewed as the caretakers of their family’s health and wellbeing, they must also struggle with dire poverty, lack of access to health care and education, and profound gender inequality. Project Muso Ladamunen partners with the families of Yirimadjo, Mali to address and overcome these injustices.

Through Project Muso’s Community-Based Malaria Program, Springboard Microfinance program, Participatory Education Program and community organizing, we work with the citizens of Yirimadjo to transform crises of disease and poverty into a synergistic cycle of health, economic development, education and community action.
