The mission of Twin Cities RISE! is to provide employers with skilled workers--primarily men from communities of color in the Twin Cities area--by training under- and unemployed adults for skilled jobs that pay a living wage of at least $20,000 annually.

We do this by providing a 12 month work skills and Personal Empowerment training program for adults living in deep poverty. Personal Empowerment is the lifeblood of our program. Participants learn they are lovable, important and valuable – regardless of what has happened to them.

• High return to MN taxpayers. For every $1 invested in our program, we return more than $7 to Minnesota taxpayers from increased state tax receipts, reduced state subsidies and reduced recidivism among our graduates.

• Higher participant income. Our participants increase their annual income by an average of 311% to $25,077 plus benefits after completing our program compared to $6,105 pre-program.

• Long-term job retention. TCR! graduates succeed in the workplace. Among them, 82% remain in their job in the first year, and 71% remain in the second year.
