Twin Cities RISE!

The mission of Twin Cities RISE! is to provide employers with skilled workers--primarily men from communities of color in the Twin Cities area--by training under- and unemployed adults for skilled jobs that pay a living wage of at least $20,000 annually.

We do this by providing a 12-18 month work skills and Personal Empowerment training program for adults living in deep poverty. Personal Empowerment is the lifeblood of our program. Participants learn they are lovable, important and valuable – regardless of what has happened to them.

• 671% return to MN taxpayers. For every $1 invested in our program, we return $7.71 to Minnesota taxpayers from increased state tax receipts, reduced state subsidies and reduced recidivism among our graduates.

• Higher participant income. Our participants increase their annual income by an average of 355% to $26,788 plus benefits after completing our program compared to $5,889 pre-program.

• Long-term job retention. TCR! graduates succeed in the workplace. Among them, 81% remain in their job in the first year, and 70% remain in the second year.
