I'm racing with Team PRIDE because 1) I need to get back in shape and 2) I support PRIDE Industries Foundation.
Back in the day, I was fit. I ran 3-5 miles/day, and even ran a marathon in 2001. Shortly after that I injured my knee, and got out of shape - and I never got back in shape. :)
So I'm joining Team PRIDE because being a part of a team with a great purpose will give me the motivation I need to exercise regularly and get fit.
On top of that, by training with Team PRIDE, I can raise funds and awareness to support PRIDE Industries Foundation, who supports a wide range of services to help open the doors to employment for people with disabilities. Working at PRIDE, I am able to see every day the impact donations to PRIDE Industries Foundation have on the lives of the people we serve, and I'm proud to be a part of the inaugural Team PRIDE!
