My name is Tricia Banks and I am running the 2013 Boston Marathon in honor of the Michael Lisnow Respite Center. The mission of the Center is to create a home away from home for children and adults with disabilities, a place that offers parents time off from the emotional and physical care needed by their children. Certain disabilities can put a huge demand on family members and time to recharge is critically important. On race day I will be lacing up my sneakers to do something I enjoy on own time. One of the best parts of supporting the Michael Lisnow Respite Center is that when running I will be able to know I am allowing others to have the same opportunity to enjoy some of their own time, while knowing their loved ones are in good care. Running is a big part of my life and the Respite Center relies greatly on donations, so please help me help the Michael Lisnow Respite Center.
