In one week, a group of young professionals from the DC area, the A-Team, will take on probably the toughest event on the planet, Tough Mudder. Tough Mudder is a twelve-mile obstacle course designed by British Special Forces to put the brave gents and ladies who attempt it through the most challenging team experience of their lives (www.toughmudder.com). Though the team is lucky to have the support from friends and families preparing for this pretty ridiculous event, we ask everyone to give a little more to a great organization we are sponsoring.

The A-Team Mudders are thrilled to support Warfighter Sports, a program of Disabled Sports USA. DSUSA is one of the most highly regarded non-profits in the country today. Started in 1967 by Vietnam Veterans to serve the war injured, DSUSA has grown to offer sports-rehabilitation therapy to athletes of all walks of life from all over the country. DSUSA operates inside the major military medical centers (Walter Reed, Brooke Army Medical Center and Naval Medical Center San Diego), as well as VAs and Warrior Transition Units across the US. Please check out their great website (www.dsusa.org) for more information!

DSUSA’s Warfighter Sports program has made an incredible impact on the lives of wounded veterans from the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world. Last year, Warfighter Sports served over 1,100 severely wounded warriors by providing opportunities to participate in more than 30 different sporting events. Warfighter Sports recently took a group of wounded warriors up Mt. McKinley in Alaska, the highest peak in North America – Five wounded warriors with four “good” legs between them. Check it out! (www.crowdrise.com/wsdenalichallenge) Most of the warriors served by Warfighter Sports are no older than your A-Teamers, and have come home from overseas in need of the greatest physical therapy our country has to offer. DSUSA and Warfighter Sports are on the leading edge of answering this important need. Please support this amazing organization by checking out their website (www.warfightersports.org), and giving whatever you can through this Razoo page. Feel free to email tgbuchmiller – at – gmail.com if you have any questions.

The A-Team Mudders thank you in advance for your support!
