On April 9th "Team Mandelbaum" will be running the Pennsylvania Tough Mudder Challenge to raise money for the Colon Cancer Association.

This year: 146,730 Americans will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer. 56,730 Americans will die from colorectal cancer.

In April 2007 my beautiful wife Karen was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer. Since then we have leaned on the shoulders of others and many times been carried by this community. The Colon Cancer Alliance offers a wealth of support to those impacted this disease and has been a tremendous resource on our journey.

THE COLON CANCER ALLIANCE:

  • Provides patient support services and facilitates access to information.
  • Educates the public about colorectal cancer and encourages early detection through appropriate screening.
  • Supports research for more effective treatment and cure.
  • Advocates legislation to support public funding for all cancers, particularly colorectal cancer.

WHAT'S THE TOUGH MUDDER CHALLENGE?

Tough Mudder is not your average lame-ass mud run or spirit-crushing ‘endurance’ road race. It’s Ironman meets Burning Man, a 10mile obstacle courses designed by British Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. Forget finish times. Simply completing a Tough Mudder is a badge of honor.
