The Waka Waka Project is commited to providing quality education for children in Karanga Village, in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania.

The Waka Waka Project was founded in the summer of 2011 and works towards providing access to quality education to some of the most destitute children in Karanga Village. The Waka Waka Project offers sponsorships to children mainly from single-parent families who struggle to provide even basic needs, such as food and clean water. Our sponsorships place children in private schools that offer small class sizes and two healthy meals per day. Ultimately, we hope that by improving educational environments, the students will find increased opportunities in life, benefiting not only themselves but their families and their communities.

The children we sponsor are smart, capable, and driven, and we strongly believe in their potential for bringing lasting change to their community. We believe in the power of education and can’t wait to see their futures shine as bright as their smiles do now.
