Fishing for children in the country of Honduras
Jesus said "I will make you fishers of men", people say, "God has a sense of humor". I am here to tell you both are true. Almost two years ago God spoke the word Honduras to me and I purposely ignored him as I knew all my fundraiseing days were long over :) after all I raised funds for trips to France, Mexico, St Croix (2x's) and Italy (2x's) surely I was done with fundraiseing plus I am married to Jim now. About six months later I was asked to put my dreams on paper. Again, God spoke, this time the word passport and Honduras came up. Then a family from church were called to Honduras to an orphanage, and to teach in the school. Oh I knew then I was going to Honduras but the only person I told was my husband who calmly said "cool". Then it happened, it was announced a team was going down to Honduras in August from our church to help do VBS, building construction and minister by hosp visitation, and wherever else God calls us to do. How exciteing, right? Still, I just sat and waited, you ask what did I wait for? Haha the push from God, a personal invite from the team leader? No, it was non of those, it was me, I needed to trust that where God sends us he will provide for us. I already new this yet had to take the time to renew my mind yet one more time. So I did the FB comment thing on the leaders page one day. YES, I waited to long the team quota has been met, but "please let me put you on a waiting list, you will be the first one and if someone drops out you will be in". Days later I got the call, I am going to Honduras and I couldn't be more excitd to be part of this team! What a honor it is to be hand picked of God to be fishers of men. Please join me in fishing for men financially or supporting me in prayer as we go and bless the children of Honduras with the word of God.
