Help support one of America's most vibrant and innovative regional performing arts centers.

A Christmas Carol is a classic stage production that's been performed all over the world—but at Raleigh, North Carolina’s Theatre In The Park, we do things a little differently. Since 1974, Theatre In The Park has hosted a musical comedy version of the Charles Dickens classic, starring Theatre In The Park’s executive director, Ira David Wood III, who also wrote and directs the unique play, while filling the role of Ebenezer Scrooge. A Christmas Carol is a huge crowd-pleaser, annually drawing more than 30,000 spectators to see the performance in downtown Raleigh—but Theatre In The Park is renowned for a wide range of other theatre performances, ranging from the classic to the edgy and eclectic. This year, we’ve staged sold-out performances of Romeo & Juliet (starring the talented Evan Rachel Wood of Across the Universe), and the rest of the year’s calendar includes recent Tony award winners Master Class and Doubt, along with a couple of hilarious indie comedies making their regional debuts. Theatre in the Park has produced more than 40 original plays in the past 20 years, and is one of the country’s top regional theatres. Please help support this vibrant cultural center with a donation today!

We enjoyed Ira being a guest speaker for our American Red Cross Annual Meeting. As entertaining in person, as himself, as he is when in character.

Went to A Christmas Carol many years ago and am looking forward to finally taking my girls this year. They'll love it.
