The Trust for Public Land helps Minnesotans protect the waters and lands that define our communities.
The Trust for Public Land Minnesota Office conserves land for Minnesotans to enjoy as parks, gardens, and other natural places, ensuring livable communities for generations to come. Since 1986, The Trust for Public Land has helped protect over 84,000 acres of some of Minnesota's most special areas, along our lakes and rivers, valued at more than $83 million.
In the Twin Cities of Minnesota, The Trust for Public Land is building parks and greenways to connect business districts with urban neighborhoods and the growing suburbs beyond. TPL’s planning expertise helped to establish the Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary near downtown St. Paul and is guiding the push for a new central park in downtown Minneapolis. In the wild and scenic Northwoods region, TPL is protecting access to the popular Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and conserving land as a buffer against development on the shores of such iconic lakes as Vermillion and Burntside.
