The Remedy: Weekly Gatherings

Dear Friends,

I am with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries at the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Chi Alpha is a Christian organization serving universities throughout the United States and around the world. The University of Minnesota is a very diverse school with a student population of about 52,000. Only about 2% of the students are born-again Christians. That would mean that only about 1,000 students know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior. It is our mission to see the gospel reach the remaining 51,000 students at the University of Minnesota.

Recently we have been pursuing a new venture for Chi Alpha. We are in the beginning stages of starting a weekly worship gathering Thursday nights on campus called the Remedy. This will be a weekly event where students can worship God, encounter Him, and be changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. The purpose of the Remedy is to:

· Worship God

· Evangelize the lost

· Provide Christian teaching

· Plant small groups

· Build lasting relationships

· Equip student leaders

We are in the early stages of planting this in the heart of the U of M campus. As you might well imagine, there are many financial needs that need to be met. We are trying to raise $5,000.00 to help finance this venture. Some of our needs include:

· Sound system

· Promotional flyers

· Video equipment

· Computer software

· Bibles

· Event space

It is important to note that all money raised will be used for the expenses and costs to support the Remedy. Thank you for your faithfulness to God and for your willingness to partner with us to see the lives of students changed on the University of Minnesota campus. God bless you!
