The Rachel Scott Nursing Scholarship Fund

Nursing learners seeking to become RNs are presented with a unique set of educational and financial challenges. The cost for tuition, books, laptop, etc. exceeds the normal technical college amounts. The rigorous class schedule allows little or no time for regular employment which leads to a loss of income for the learners and their families. Some learners who have a previous four year degree and are returning or changing careers are not eligible for state or federal educational loans or grants. This scholarship will help lessen the financial burden on these individuals while they are attending classes and will also lower the amount of college loans that must be repaid. The Rachel Scott memorial scholarship recognizes her dedication to nursing education by supporting future registered nurses.
