The Pajarillos Project is an educational initiative to bring sustainable, quality education to the community of Los Pajarillos, Honduras.

The Pajarillos Project was borne unto Meredith Miller and Nicole Harty as their 2010 Clinton Global Initiative University Commitment to Action, but began as a love for the village of Pajarillos, Honduras and the yearning to give these wonderful people the tools they need to empower themselves and grow into a prosperous community.

Meredith and Nicole each have first hand knowledge of the need for a new, better equipped school in this community.
The community currently has two schools, one in Pajarillos and the other in Plan Fresco, but each only serves the elementary grade levels and neither is consistently supplied with a teacher.
Global Brigades is already active in the community, so there is already an established relationship with the locals, including the local government.

Meredith and Nicole are responsible for raising the funds necessary to purchase the building supplies and collecting the necessary education supplies to ensure a functioning school.
Partnerships will be made with education supply companies in the United States to ensure each student attending this new school has a pencil and notebook every day.
The residents of Pajarillos will be constructing the building with the help of both the Global Brigades leaders familiar with the area and The Pajarillos Project Building Team.
The Pajarillos Project Building Team will be assembled from enthusiastic students and architecture professionals to help raise money for construction supplies and add man power to the building process.
