Providing portraits made by high school students form the US, Canada, and UK to orphans in Rwanda through The Memory Project.
I am an IB tenth grader and I am working on my personal project--this project. The money would go directly to providing the portraits. These portraits are so important. These children in Rwanda have no parents and only their basic needs are covered. This means they have no personal belongings and a very little sense of self identity. They have nothing that they can call their own. To have this connection with other students around the world that care enough to spend days to even weeks drawing them, makes them so happy. And it shows when they receive the portraits. For example, in India only the famous or people of great importance have portraits made of them. This project is more than a portrait. These donations are crucial to this projects success. You can also get involved by making a portrait, just contact me through my email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
