The goal of this fundraiser is to raise money for the Great Bay eLearning Charter School, a nonprofit located in Exeter, New Hampshire.

The Great Bay eLearning Charter School (GBeCS) is a classroom-based public charter school currently serving 150 New Hampshire students in grades 8 through 12. An independently operated school, overseen by a Board of Trustees, the school is reviewed annually by the New Hampshire Department of Education and charter re-authorized by the New Hampshire Board of Education. The school implements a philosophy based on project-based learning and an assessment program that measures students’ progress in meeting individual course competencies. All students are guided by a faculty advisor and take advantage of flexible learning opportunities that include both classroom- and community-based work.

Approximately 35% of GBeCS students have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) that guides their learning at the school, but is overseen by their school district of residence. Approximately 50% of the students reside in communities of the Exeter Region Cooperative School District and the remaining 50% reside in fourteen other New Hampshire school districts. The school is located at the Tuck Learning Campus (the former Exeter High School building) at 30 Linden Street in Exeter, NH.

Last year, the GBeCS annual operating budget was cut by over $300,000. Our supporters are pursuing several fundraising avenues to help make up this deficit, including educational grants and community events. But these efforts alone are not enough, which is why we need your generous donation today. We are hopeful that the funds raised through Razoo will allow this project-based charter school to continue serving students whose needs have not been met in traditional learning environments.

Great Bay eLearning Charter School’s Core Beliefs:

  • All students can learn if we, as educators, allow for differences in learning styles, abilities, interests, and needs.
  • Engaging students in project-based and service oriented education curriculum will allow our students to more fully achieve their educational goals.
  • The judicious use of technology is essential to enhance education and to prepare students for either post-secondary education programs or employment.
  • Educators in the Great Bay eLearning Charter School have the responsibility, the capability, and the will to provide assistance to other students in the area, state and beyond.
