The France-Merrick Foundation has generously offered NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore a matching grant of $35,000 for a technology overhaul.

The France-Merrick Foundation has generously offered to provide NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore with $35,000 for new technology. However, in order to receive that $35,000 grant we must raise $35,000 of our own.

These funds will provide new desktop computers, an upgraded database, and a reliable server. Currently, functional computers are at a premium in our office with approximately 3 that are dependable. This leaves at least 2 staff members at a time who are constantly working around the limitations of their technology. This also makes it impossible for interns or volunteers to assist with computer work that is essential to the daily assistance of those living with mental illness and their families.

It is clear that our technology needs help. It will increase the efficiency of staff time, the impact of outreach, the resources available to our community.

NOTE: Thank you to all who have already donated! Your efforts are deeply appreciated. The donations we have recieved already are not reflected in this donation page. All new donations will be displayed here.

The France-Merrick Foundation was created by the merger of the Jacob and Annita France Foundation and the Robert G. and Anne M. Merrick Foundation. It has assets worth $210 million under management. The foundation supports civic and cultural activities, public education, private and higher education, historic preservation and conservation, and health and social services. It was founded in 1998 and is based in Baltimore, Maryland.
