We’re humbled and thrilled by the response to our 2012 premiere of Kingdom Undone at the Southern Theater. Our desire was to engage a broad audience with an imaginative retelling of the last days of Judas and Jesus– challenging assumptions and provoking conversation between christians and non-christians. One critic stated, “it’s a rare show that a friend and I will be discussing for hours after we've seen it. The church crowd will love it, but I'd argue it's not just for the church crowd. It's a good story, well told.” (Matthew Everett, T.C. Daily Planet) We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
So… let's do it again, shall we? There's always been a hope in the back of our minds and bottom of our hearts that Kingdom Undone could become a Lenten tradition. We certainly don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but we want to do all we can now to best steward this story.
Kingdom Undone couldn't have happened if not for a generous outpouring from donors who believe in our work. And in order for Kingdom Undone to continue, we need that support to continue. If you believe this is a story worth telling, and want more people to experience this unique production, please consider giving a tax-deductible donation.
Kingdom Undone returns to the Southern Theater March 15th-31st, 2013. Much of our talented cast is returning and all of our original designers will be helping us tell the story once again in this amazing theater. We need to raise $10,000 by the end of this year to help cover production and promotion costs. It isn't cheap to do theater, especially to do it well… but we think these are (tax-deductible) pennies well spent.
Please join us in engaging audiences with this important story.
Grace, peace and passion,
Jeremiah and Vanessa Gamble
