Andrew Bayley and many of his friends, family and colleagues will be running in the Detroit Marathon to support ovarian cancer research.

In April of 2009, Jackie Bayley was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. The fact that her condition was even diagnosed based on her symptomolgy was a minor miracle. Our hope is that by raising money for Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, Inc (OCRF), early detection will become more common and treatment will become swift and effective.

For all of those participating in the Detroit Marathon, it is clear that the training and race itself will be a challenge, but the struggles are minor compared to those faced by cancer patients.
