Northside Arts Collective started in 2001 with a series of potlucks to bring artists together to explore ways to connect with one another and with the community at large. We attained our non-profit status in 2006 and had 45 members. Today, we are nearing 250 members and are actively involved in several initiatives which enliven and advance our community:
West Broadway Art Street – Artistic building facades
Families Opening Doors – Partnership with NorthPoint Health & Wellness bringing creative life skills to families in crisis
Business of Art – Business-skills workshops for artists
Spring Art Party – Annual community arts and music festival held in a new Northside park each year.
FLOW: a NorthSide Crawl – in partnership with the PEACE Foundation, this annual event brings thousands of folks to West Broadway.
Great Streets Concert Series Live @ the Capri – Twice monthly concerts featuring Northside musicians.
In the Artist’s Studio – An opportunity for our members to explore art making in a new medium.
Art Services – The work of our membership is exhibited in a number of venues throughout the community to help bring awareness of the presence of these artists as neighbors.
Arts & Cultural Resource Catalog – 2010 means it’s time to update our bi-annual artist listing to distribute throughout the metro area.

Northside Arts Collective is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose membership has grown from 40 artists in 2006 to nearly 250 in 2010. Your support will help us continue our successful programs that help artists and community work together transforming the Northside through the Arts.
