Promotes excellence and innovation in fiber art and honors textile traditions through exhibition and education programs for everyone.
“Textile Center is both a regional and national treasure. It is home and community for me.” — Textile Center artist and member
Textile Center is a leader in the field of fiber art and a destination for everyone who loves textiles. Exhibitions in the Textile Center Joan Mondale Gallery showcase both mastery in technique and cutting-edge innovations in fiber art by artists locally, nationally, and internationally. Artists are advancing their technical and creative skills, taking artistic risks, and exploring new avenues of creative work through workshops, master classes, symposia, and project grant programs. Textile Center is developing the next generation of fiber artists through school residencies, field trips and summer camps for youth.
Textile Center is renowned for its facility resources. The Pat O'Connor Library houses the largest circulating collection of fiber art resources in the country. Our professionally equipped dye lab enables students and artists to learn dye techniques and undertake ambitious dye projects in a safe environment.
We rely on contributions to sustain and grow our exhibition and education programs. Your support ensures that Textile Center will thrive and remain accessible to everyone.
