TGI aims to empower future Jewish leaders who are committed to giving and to helping raise money for causes that better the world.
We are a group of Jewish teenagers who aim to better local and international communities through fundraising. Through a series of fun and charitable events in our Baltimore community, we raise and allocate money to organizations that support bullying prevention, hunger prevention and educational programs.
In order to help these causes, we plan and participate in various fundraisers, including but not limited to: Phone-a-tons, letter writing to family and friends, a USpoon frozen yogurt day, and other events.
On October 21, TGI held a fundraiser at USpoon Yougurt, Cereal & Coffee Bar. We surpassed our day goal of $300 and raised an astounding total of $420! Due to the combined publicity efforts of the TGI Fellows, there was a great turnout for this event, and we hope to have similarly enthusiastic support, if not more, in the future.
On January 27, TGI hosted our Teen Campaign, a phone-a-thon, during which we called Jewish teens in the Baltimore area, explained our organization and causes, and asked for their support. We raised $2,179 in pledges! Great job to all the hard working TGI fellows!
On Sunday, April 14 we hosted a 5k at The Park School! We had a lot of fun exercising for a cause. Each ticket included a raffle ticket for an Official ravens Super Bowl Football signed by Ray Rice, which was won by Nancy Spritz! From selling entrance tickets, raffle tickets, and concessions, we raised a total of $1,159 for the day!
Please help us reach our goal of $7,500 by either donating on our website or attending one of our upcoming fundraisers!
