Angie Nordquist fundraising for A BREATH OF HOPE LUNG FOUNDATION
Approximately 175,000 people are diagnosed with lung cancer in the US each year. Killing more than 160,000 people annually.
That's more than breast, colon, and prostate cancers combined. Over 60% of new cases are never smokers or former smokers, many of whom quit decades ago. One in five women and one in twelve men diagnosed with lung cancer have never smoked.
My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in January 2009. She passed away just 4 months later. She was only 54. Cancer sucks, but you can help. In honor of my mom, and the millions of others fighting and taken by this horrible cancer, I'd like to invite you to A Breath of Hope 5k walk/run August 18th, 2012. If you are unable to attend the event in person, please consider making a donation.
