As many of you know John & Jean have previously ridden their bikes in support of Get Your Guts in Gear to raise awareness of Crohn's and colitis diseases. After a 2 year hiatus from the Get Your Guts in Gear ride we are back in the saddle again to participate in our 5th ride. This years ride will be a 2 day (June 9-10), 180+ mile adventure throughout the Hudson River Valley.

Crohn's disease is a chronic disorder that causes inflammation of the digestive tract. Ulcerative Colitis is a chronic disease of the large intestine that causes inflammation and ulceration of the colon's innermost lining. Collectively these diseases are known as inflammatory Bowel disease or "IBD". At least 1.4 million Americans have IBD - - and at least 140,000 of those are under the age of 18.

Jean was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 19 years ago and since that day her life changed forever. Learning to live with a chronic disease is not always easy, but with the support of her family and friends she has been able to overcome the obstacles.

We are asking for your financial support in reaching our $6,000 fundraising goal. Every dollar we raise brings us one step closer to finding a cure for these debilitating diseases.
